NEXITIC has made the design of architecture and critical infrastructure for data center denominado “Centro de Computación Avanzada” que cubre todos los servicios de investigación y corporativos del campus de la University of Alcala, in Alcalá de Henares. Given the original architectural conditions, the design was a challenge, in terms of locating spaces and implementing ultra-efficient free cooling systems for CPD, which will allow reaching a low PUE and significant savings throughout the year, in addition to contributing to the decarbonization of the campus.
The design of the installation and the proposed solution have been carried out following the client's requirements and the current state of the enclosure destined to house the Data Center facilities, taking into account the following considerations:
High energy efficiency, providing the air conditioning equipment with direct Free-cooling.
Maximum use of the site and urban conditions.
Easement, access and administrative space according to the client's requirements.
State of the art of the best solutions, so that the life cycle is maximized and it can be adapted to the technical evolution of the coming years.
